Yesterday we went to the Annual West Point Sweet Corn Festival (65th year). This Iowa community has a population of 968 and is located 21 miles from Nauvoo. Vernon and Susan Moon (Ogden, UT Temple) invited us to ride with them. Residents shuck 18 tons of sweet corn (45,000 ears) and invite people to come and eat all they want for free. The Festival also includes BBQ chicken, a carnival, and arts and crafts. Experiences like this, and the temple, have made our mission memorable.

You can also buy a "hamberger" at the Festival
